Our story
It's already been four years since we started this adventure as self-employed entrepreneurs: for two long years where we alternated between uncertainties and peaks of motivation, first as resellers for the eponymous brand, then as partners and finally managers of this brand الحمد لله.
It was not at all our field of predilection, and we never tried to get into business until the day a sister told us about a brand in the Netherlands that was looking for a reseller in France, we quickly looked at their networks, items made in Egypt that seemed to us to be of good quality so we said let's try and start with a small amount to take the temperature. Once the goods were received we were relatively satisfied, but being perfectionists we quickly noticed imperfections on models, defects on the size measurements, some poorly cut khimar... It put us off.
At this point we could have stopped there, but one of our faults (or qualities) is that the more difficulties there are, the more we persevere and let's face it, perseverance or insistence is a double-edged sword. We decided to keep and sell the flawless items on Facebook first and then Instagram, and there we really did not expect it because for us it is a saturated market, but we sell the stock quickly and we receive wonderful feedback.
We were then tasked with offering the winter collection, which was also a hit with the first winter jilbab on the French market as well as winter capes.
From then on, we invested more by becoming partners and we started working directly with the workshop in Egypt.
Unfortunately, and this has almost become the custom, we still encountered difficulties that were not insignificant to say the least: deadlines not met, abayas burned with an iron, badly cut khimar... El Hamdoulillah, and fortunately, this did not concern all of the items but at the time we thought of stopping everything because it was becoming morally exhausting, spending entire days checking and measuring everything.
Added to the loss of time spent rechecking all the items one by one is the financial loss, the lack of profits, which really puts a dent in the demotivation capital.
Unbearable, a break was needed to put things in order: we decided to try Turkey, known for its textile work, good finishes and seriousness.
The Turkish experience offered me relative satisfaction because of the geographical distance which would allow me to control and especially the language barrier with the workshop which does not facilitate exchanges.
We thought about relocating for a long time before finally choosing Morocco, among other things for obvious mobility reasons.
We then easily found the workshop and the fabric suppliers. But there again the delays were too long in addition to merchandise with execrable finishes. And believe us my sisters, it is a real heartbreak to invest so much time and money to finally reap only disappointment and dissatisfaction.
Important point: when you become an entrepreneur you don't draw a salary in the first few years, you constantly reinvest, without seeing results immediately, so it is essential to be passionate and to persevere: if quick money is the motivation you risk being disappointed and stopping after two months.
At that time, with this first experience in Morocco and a bad one more, we decided to stop spending so much energy entrusting such an important project for us with the money it required to unqualified or unserious people. The decision was then made: we are going to launch our own Workshop.
Surprisingly, everything became easy when we made this choice by the grace of Allah. We embarked on the purchase of professional sewing machines as well as sewing equipment, the premises of course and the most important: the workers
and the purchase of fabrics.
Paradoxically, what really motivated us in this decision was that the incidents we encountered coincided perfectly with our hijra: we had to be on site and we would finally have an eye on the entire production chain from A to Z!
It has now been two years since we started making clothes with our seamstresses who are all as invested as we are and who really believe in our Allahuma barik project!
The workshop manager, may Allah preserve her, was a sewing teacher in a women's center with her own small workshop. Currently, she has stopped everything to invest one hundred percent in our project. Her ambition? To expand the workshop and bring back the seamstresses she trained, whose professionalism she testifies to and who are really in financial need, may Allah grant her this.
Moreover, the team is growing from year to year.
We can never say it enough but Thank you!! A thousand times Thank you for having accompanied us during these four years which have certainly been very difficult but during which you have always been there! Your magnificent feedback, your sweet messages, your constructive remarks, have been an unequalled encouragement! You have given us strength
to continue to offer my sisters, to offer YOU, quality, legislated clothing in a variety of styles.
We work every minute of our activity to ensure that our products meet your expectations, each part is meticulously checked and we hope that there will always be as many of you following us and adopting our products.
